In Ilok, in the easternmost Croatia, above the powerful Danube River, along the historic medieval town centre, the Old wine cellars are situated. These unique heritage objects are remarks of the very long history and tradition of vine cultivation and wine production. Beside the authentic wine and gastronomy offer, the attraction of this tourism resort are the two old wine cellars from the 15th and 18th century . For over five hundred years, these unique wine cellars are having perfect condition for creation and nurturing of premium wines and guard the precious wine archive. They will delight you with stories that are told by secrets kept inside.
The Old cellar restaurant is located inside of the former winery and above the wine cellar build in the 18th century that gives this restaurant a special charm and atmosphere. Pleasant and warm, also thanks to the open fire place inside, you can enjoy in delicious food and of course excellent wines paired with a wide plate of homemade dishes, typical for this region.
The total capacity of the restaurant is 100 sitting places inside and 60 seats on both terraces. We offer different event organisation for different occasions, such as seminar and or congress meetings, anniversary, christening, wedding, birthday celebrations and other occasions.
Professional wine tastings through our impressive wine portfolio are offered and led by our oenologist and or sommeliers.

From here you can go for a joyride with our “Traminer express city train” for a guided tour through the medieval old town centre of Ilok, and see why is Ilok from many visitors compared with Dubrovnik. The tour continues along the wine roads through our wine hills and best vineyard appellations, to our estate economy where we organise the enormous work and partnership with nature for a healthy grape production. The highlight of the tour is the visit and stay at the Principovac appellation and the beautiful summer residence and resort of the Odescalchi family and its astonishing viewpoint, golf shooting place, tennis and badminton courts, playgrounds for children and soon to be opened freshwater fish aquarium. Our rich wine offer and delicious new age dishes made from indigenous ingredients are served in our beautiful restaurant inside or on terrace. Wine tasting zones are on the second and third floor that is covered with a glass roof for a unforgettable view and wine tasting experience.
