It is a small town of Hrvatsko primorje (Croatian Seaside of the North Adriatic) with 1000 inhabitants located in the Bay of Kvarner and in the very heart of the Opatija Riviera known by tourism since the far 1844. The highway cutting its way mildly and in a serpentine manner through a rich vegetation of the precious laurel, palm-trees and pine-trees along the coastline itself connects Ièiæi with Opatija and Lovran. The tourist offer is really rich and divers, particularly in offering the accommodation. In very good even luxuriously equipped private houses – villas you can choose your appartment or room. With your breakfast or the grill in the garden you will not be isolated or deprived of your daily habits: almost each private villa disposes of a garden or a park, has a sea-view, satellite TV channels and a car-park at disposal. If you are a hotel guest, you will be accommodated at the Hotel Ièiæi on the coast itself with its own beach, park and a car-park. Those who are fond of camping will find in Ièiæi a nice natural camping site with a restaurant and a tennis court. As a guest of the yacht club you can use a safe and well-equipped ACI marina with 360 berths and 60 docks. You will be delighted with restaurants, coffee bars, shops and services for motor boats and yachts, where a 15 ton derrick should be mentioned. In addition to swimming and lying in the sun the large central beach offers also a possibility of hiring boats, pedal operating vessels, deck chairs, parasols, then of surfing, water -skiing, sailing and sand volley-ball. Those who prefer solitude will find their place along the sea-shore path, above which the crowns of the trees have left enough shaddow for a rest from the sun.
