Tourist office of VODICE

Tourist office of VODICE

VODICE has two faces! One offers you a peaceful rest, the other calls you to spend time in an undescribable and rarely seen environment that pulses everywhere and every moment of the day. Come and you will return again! The walls of ancient Vodice from the 16th century have disapeared in reality and metaphors. There are few such open places and so lively tourist destinations on the Adriatic! Approximately 50 years ago, the people of Vodice were more turned towards the land than the sea. Today they are completely turned towards the sea: they live off of and for tourism. They take care of their traditions, and their summertime guests enjoy this connection of the past and present. Vodice got their name from springs of water, and the first mention of this name dates back from a written document from the 15th century. The builder Ivan Skok raised the present chuch of the Holy Cross in the 18th century. Numerous other churches and chapels of the city and its surroundings harmoniously fit into the ambiental values of the construction heritages of this area.
